Neurology, Day 3

Our big neurology meeting was a huge sigh of relief.

The doctors didn’t see the major abnormalities that they expected to after Barnaby’s birth story. They still want to do another MRI in a couple of days but they are “cautiously optimistic” about a possible best case scenario.

The neurology team removed his EEG leads and he no longer has a lot wires coming out of his little hat. Now they are considering a time frame to experiment with taking him off the seizure medications which are a significant sedative and keeping him fairly groggy.

This has meeting signified a major turning point in the way that the doctors are talking to us about Barnaby. There is hope and it feels very different then what the past 48 hours have.

Ana and I have felt all of your love and support from afar and we really don’t feel alone in this. Thank you.
