After a testing holiday over the weekend Barnaby’s head ultrasound today showed more dilation of his ventricles. It isn’t a huge amount but it shows a trend in the wrong direction.
Dr. Warf visited Barnaby today from children’s hospital. He is one of the top pediatric neurosurgeons in the world and literally invented one of the procedures that is used for this very condition. We didn’t get a chance to meet him but our doctors reported that Barnaby’s progression is slow enough that nobody feels that an intervention needs to be rushed.
We don’t know what he will suggest but the doctors made it sound like some sort of surgical intervention is a likely outcome at this point. It is likely that we will meet with Dr. Warf tomorrow.
