A wise old turtle gave Barnaby his first haircut

Ana thinks that Barnaby’s Surgeon at Children’s Hospital looks like a wise old turtle 🐢 .

He is one of the most esteemed pediatric neurosurgeon in the world. A recipient of the macarthur genius grant, a professor at harvard medical school, and he literally invented one of the surgeries commonly used for barnaby’s condition of hydrocephalus.

Despite the reputation of neurosurgeons as egotistical and impersonal he was a very nice guy and wonderfully kind. He took the time before the surgery to make sure that all of our questions were answered.

Barnaby emerged from his surgery with a very funny monk’s haircut and everything looks like it went well!

You can see his birthmark in this photo, it is a strawberry hemangioma that will likely fade as he gets older.
